“Maleficent” Trailer Premiers During Grammys Featuring “Once Upon A Dream” By Lana Del Rey

As we reported last week, Disney had something “Maleficent” related in store for fans who were watching the 2014 Grammys.

For those who were able to catch the biggest music award show, then you probably saw what turned out to be the amazing 1 minute and 32 second “Dream” trailer for the upcoming film based on the famed Disney Villain, “Maleficent”, as played by Angelina Jolie.

The dark trailer opens with a shot of the Walt Disney Studio logo where the castle that were all used to as a film lead-in is replaced by Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

The haunting music is none other than a creepy, yet amazing, rendition of “Once Upon A Dream” which was recorded by Lana Del Rey.

One of the things that I found surprising is that the movie appears to be an epic fantasy film with effects and action sequences that rival the “Lord of the Rings” films.

If you haven’t seen it yet, we’ve gone ahead and posted the link below. The video was released earlier tonight and is already at half a million views.

The film is set to release May 30th and you can download Lana Del Rey’s version of the Disney classic, “Once Upon A Dream” free for a limited time on the Google Play store.
