This footage comes from the Fantasy Faire area at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. When the African Children’s Choir sings and dances for Belle, the actress begins to tear up in what seems like a moment of pure joy.

“The Jungle Book” Blu Ray Review

The Jungle Book Blu Ray

If ever there was a Blu Ray movie to invest in for the special features, Disney’s live-action remake of The Jungle Book is certainly it.

Jon Favreau continues to push his talents as a Director by creating a vast and immense world that would have audiences believing that the whole film was, in fact, shot in a jungle.

When I tell people that it was actually filmed solely in a studio in Los Angeles, their appreciation for the film reaches a new level.

Jungle Book Baloo

Imagine watching The Jungle Book for the first time as you marvel at Mowgli as he swims, climbs and jumps through lush vegetation. Now imagine the jungle around him disappears and all you see is a young boy jumping around on a sound stage over green screen boxes and interacting with stand-ins…including Favreau himself. Disney to Reboot “The Rocketeer”

Disney Rocketeer Reboot

Disney has announced plans to reboot the classic 1991 film, The Rocketeer.

Though The Rocketeer didn’t garner box office success when it first opened, it had a strong cult following which kept the franchise strong throughout the years and even caught a second wind recently in the art world.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

The new take keeps the story in a period setting and offers a fresh view on the characters. Set six years after the original Rocketeer and after Secord has vanished while fighting the Nazis, an unlikely new hero emerges: a young African–American female pilot, who takes up the mantle of Rocketeer in an attempt to stop an ambitious and corrupt rocket scientist from stealing jet-pack technology in what could prove to be a turning point in the Cold War.

With recent reboots like Ghostbusters being a box office flop, one has to wonder if audiences are becoming fatigued with reboots altogether. Though it was difficult for Sony to reboot something that was flawless in the eyes of the fans, many feel like a reboot of The Rocketeer offers a lot more room to improve on the original.

Max Winkler and Matt Spicer will be in charge of the script and Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book) will be the producer.

There is no further information on when The Rocketeer will be set to release.

Is Disney’s “Emoji Blitz” Game the New Tsum Tsum?

IMG_6346

Yesterday, Disney launched Emoji Blitz for Android and iOS and though the game isn’t revolutionary in gameplay, it certainly sets itself apart from games like Candy Crush by allowing you to play with adorable emoji versions of your favorite Disney characters!

If you’re as obsessed as I am with collection games, where you need to play in order to earn more characters similar to the Tsum Tsum mobile game, than chances are you won’t want to put Emoji Blitz down.

The best part of this game is that not only do you get to earn characters in-game as you play through, but the characters you unlock go into a Disney emoji keyboard which can be used in your messaging app!
