Concept Art For Starbucks On Disneyland’s Main Street

Disneyland Starbucks

A conversation is going on over at MiceChat.com debating whether the addition of a Starbucks fits the persona of Disneyland’s Main Street USA. This concept art has surfaced and there is a bit of a divide where having a corporate coffee chain on Main Street is a good idea.

Personally, I think the design fits the atmosphere of Disneyland just fine. For those you have visited the Starbucks in California Adventure, you know that it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb or seem out of place at all. In fact, Disney has a team of environmental designers who make sure that any new addition to the park fits right in with the surrounding environment.

I typically don’t drink coffee very often and on the rare occasion I do, it’s usually from Starbucks. In fact, part of me is looking forward to walking up Main Street during the Disneyland holiday season sipping a nice warm drink from the company who brews it best.

How do you feel about the addition of a Starbucks to Main Street USA at Disneyland?

I personally hate Starbucks coffee, but the concept art looks very Blue Ribbon Bakery and should fit well on Main Street USA

I hate Starbucks coffee…the art is fine, but they did away with the stove and checkers area…my friend and I used to sit here eating pickles and playing checkers until the bands started playing all during the ’60’s… we will miss it enormously…

While I’m not loyal to any one coffee brand, I do think Disney has room to include a coffee shop that offers dairy alternatives and higher end coffee options, which is right in line with Disney’s brand. I’m looking forward to being able to drink something other than drip coffee in all of the parks.

I can see some fans getting upset if this was your run of the mill Starbucks with big green logo hanging out front but I think they will remain loyal to the Main Street design. They did it at DCA.
