Disney to Remake “Pete’s Dragon”

It has been 37 years since the classic Disney film, “Pete’s Dragon”, was originally released and some new developments may give fans a reason to be excited.

It has been reported that Disney is in talks with “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints” Director, David Lowery, to take the helm on the “Pete’s Dragon” reboot.

Back in 2013, Lowery was hired by Disney to draw up a screenplay for the animated/live-action hybrid. Though the original 1977 film was a musical, it is said that the remake would be cutting the musical numbers altogether.

It is still very early in development and we’ll bring you any updates as we receive them.
