Million Dollar Arm Blu Ray Review
Jon Hamm portrays struggling sports agent, J.B. Bernstein, in this inspiring sports drama from Walt Disney Pictures.
Bernstein is on the verge of losing his business when a deal with an up and coming NFL player falls through. In a last-ditch effort to keep his office doors open, his friends employed and the roof over his head, he gets an investment that allows him to travel to India in search of the next big Major League Baseball pitcher.
Bernstein gains interest in his quest by holding a reality show contest that allows the citizens of India to try their hand at a high speed pitch where the winners would win $100,000 and the potential to take home $1 million.
He discovers Dinesh (Madhur Mittal) and Rinku (Suraj Sharma) and brings them back to the United States in hopes of turning one of them into a professional baseball player in just a few months.
Million Dollar Arm is a wonderful story that shows how working hard and believing in yourself can lead to success.
Now I know that sounds like the plot of most sports dramas but the truth is, Million Dollar Arm is full a likable characters, romance, comedy and drama.
Hamm’s performance is solid and the cast and writing staff did a tremendous job of bringing this true story to life.
Million Dollar Arm is perfect for the sports fan in your life and definitely worth at least the rental.
The disc also has some great special features including:
- Alternate ending
- Outtakes
- The real story behind Bernstein, Rinku and Dinesh
- And more…
You can purchase Million Dollar Arm on Blu Ray and DVD on October 7th.
